Biography

Simon Cremer was born in Prien am Chiemsee, Germany. After graduating from high school in Bavaria, he moved to Vienna to study history. In addition to his master's degree in global history, he also studied jazz guitar and instrumental pedagogy at the Vienna Music Institute.
Since then, he has followed his passion and has been performing on stage for over 10 years with various projects and bands, including tours and concerts throughout Austria, Germany, and Europe, as far as New York. Musically, he draws from the broad spectrum of jazz and improvised music, incorporating elements of funk, blues, reggae, and dub depending on the project.
His most influential teachers and workshops include Fred Eisler, Peter Rom, Heimo Trixner, Gilad Hekselman, Peter Bernstein and Tom Ollendorff.
Since 2022, Simon Cremer has mainly played guitars by Nico Moffa with strings by Thomastik Infeld.
